Last night, Our Revolution withdrew our endorsement of Graham Platner. The allegations against him are serious and he must step aside.
We also told the Democratic establishment, in no uncertain terms: this is NOT your opening. Remember: Progressives overwhelmingly won the primary. A progressive MUST be on the ballot.
Maine’s working people deserve a candidate who represents our movement, not corporate interests. But now, we’re at a critical crossroads with just DAYS before the ballot deadline — and we’re rallying behind Troy Jackson to replace Platner. He’s a logger, a union leader, and the former president of the Maine State Senate who led Bernie’s campaign for President twice in Maine and had Bernie’s backing in his run for Governor.
Troy knows what it means to put in a hard day’s work and never back down from a fight. And he just filed the paperwork to run for this Senate seat and fight for working people in Washington.
But if we don’t come together right now, we risk ceding this race to the Democratic establishment — and we refuse to let that happen. Our organizing machine sprang into action last night, and now, we urgently need resources to unleash our Citizen Action Team in support of Troy and build an army of grassroots volunteers across the state.
Will you chip in $7, $14, or whatever you can to make sure a real progressive champion gets on the ballot in Maine? Every dollar puts us one step closer to keeping this Senate seat out of corporate hands. If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation to Our Revolution will process immediately.
With less than two weeks left before Maine must choose a replacement, we have to act faster than ever before if we want to keep momentum alive.
This isn’t just about Maine — to take back the Senate, we MUST defeat Susan Collins. But this moment is also about our movement’s ability to stand strong, to shift the balance of power in Congress, and to prove that ordinary people can win against billionaire-backed insiders.
Our message is already resonating. Our statement ran in the New York Times, AP, the Guardian, Politico, and more, showing this fight is not about one person — it’s about a bold, people-powered platform for economic and social justice.

We will not let the Democratic Party pick a placeholder who serves their interests, not ours. We have a leader in Troy Jackson ready to carry this torch, but we need resources to organize like never before to make it happen.
We have less than TWO WEEKS. Let’s show the establishment what people power looks like – donate whatever you can right now and together let’s keep corporate Democrats out of this race and put working people first.
When we organize, we win.
