Graham Platner is out of the Senate race in Maine – and the DC establishment is circling, ready to try to install another corporate Democrat to take on Susan Collins instead of listening to grassroots voters.
Let’s be clear: the ONLY way to win in Maine is to make sure we have a candidate who can excite the base and electrify voters — and as the primary just made clear, that MUST be someone willing to fight for a bold, working-class agenda.
To get a candidate like that on the ballot we have to make sure the party listens to the PEOPLE — not to Majority Leader Chuck Schumer or other establishment insiders. Which is why we urgently need EVERYONE to send a clear message straight to Schumer right now: let the PEOPLE decide.

We've seen what happens when the establishment tries to handpick their candidate without listening to the grassroots. Schumer's personal choice to run for Senate in Maine this year against Collins was Janet Mills, but she never caught fire with the voters of Maine and bowed out even before the primary!
The new candidate for this race must carry on the bold, progressive platform that won BIG in the primary. That's why we're fighting for Troy Jackson, a true champion of the working class with a proven track record of standing up to billionaires, calling for an end to endless wars, and fighting for Medicare for All.
After Platner's exit, people in Maine are once again organizing to make sure a progressive gets onto the ballot. Our organizers on the ground are right there at the center of it. But if Schumer and company are allowed to rig the process, we will repeat the same tired mistakes. We refuse to let it happen. We know what will defeat MAGA in November.
